The detection of anti-Treponema Pallidum (anti-TP) antibodies is achieved by antigen sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, where the microwells are coated with recombinant Treponema pallidum antigens expressed in E.coli.

The Biorex Diagnostics Syphilis kit is an in vitro diagnostic kit for the detection of antibodies to Treponema pallidum in human serum or plasma. It’s intended for use in the screening of blood donors and to aid in the diagnosis and management of clinical conditions of syphilis.
