The Biorex Diagnostics Pregnancy Associated Plasma Protein (PAPP-A) is intended for the quantitative determination of PAPP-A in human serum and plasma.

Trisomy 21, 18 and 13 are three conditions that can cause ill-effects to a foetus, and therefore an infant. Screening for markets and inherent trends has been of interest over the years. One of the proteins of interest for these trisomy disorders is PAPP-A, pregnancy associated plasma protein-A. This protein can be found in the serum of every individual, but the concentration rises in maternal serum as gestation time progresses.
