Zinc is an essential trace metal, which is second only to Iron. It is present in Zinc metalloenzymes e.g. carbonic anhydrase, alkaline phosphatase, RNA and DNA polymerases, thymidine kinase, carboxypeptidases and alcohol dehydrogenase.

The Biorex Diagnostics Zinc kit is intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of Zinc in serum, plasma, CSF, urine and blood spots. This product is suitable for manual ELISA use.
