The Biorex Diagnostics GGT kits are intended for the quantitative determination of Gamma – Glutamyltransferase in serum or plasma. GGT present in serum appears to originate primarily from the hepatobiliary system, and GGT activity is elevated in all forms of liver disease. GGT is more sensitive than alkaline phosphatase in detecting obstructive jaundice, cholangitis and cholecystitis.
