The Biorex Diagnostics Anti Thrombin-III assay is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Antithrombin III in human serum and plasma.

Antithrombin III is a tryptophan rich protein which is synthesised in hepatocytes. Antithrombin III has a short half life of approximately 2 days. Reduced serum antithrombin III levels indicate acute liver damage or dietary protein deficiency.
